Bored on my Birthday

Wow I never thought I would be one to actually dislike the idea of not having to make a post but I have found that I am quite bored without having one to write about. So I guess my rant today is going to be about birthdays. For starters I'm throwing out that Tyler Lowell and I share a birthday. So I guess it is rant time. To be completely honest, birthdays start to become annoying as you grow older in age. As a child you see birthdays as one of the few times that you are allowed to have all your friends come over and you get presents. As you grow older, you still want to have parties but the gift giving becomes a bit childish and seems like if you would be getting gifts, it would be from only your closest friends. By 18 both gifts and parties become kind of childish and having a small gathering with your friends should suffice. I understand the desire to have a party and I'm not saying that it would be wrong to have one but it seems that having a party and expecting gifts is a bit childish. Another thing about birthdays that I cannot stand is the relentless OMG HAPPY BIRTHDAY that you get the entire day. I don't care if you are my friend on facebook or myspace I never talk to you so don't wish me a happy birthday. I guess it just annoying hearing and reading happy birthday a million times in one day. I guess birthdays just get old and you lose the childhood excitement that once filled your body and how, as a child, you just wanted to tell everybody that it was your birthday. Maybe I'm alone on this one but birthdays seem to become a bore as you grow older.
