Starting out with happiness

It is slightly ironic that this is the topic for our first blog entry. The reason that this is ironic is because there isn't much keeping me happy lately. I guess if I did have to pick one thing that makes me happy it would be snowmobiling. I enjoy snowmobiling for a few reasons. The best thing about it is that I am outside in nature and I'm doing physical activity. It helps me to keep in shape during the winter without really having to work out. The other reason I really enjoy it is because it gives me a lot of time to think about whatever I feel like. I'm outside the entire day stuck inside my own thoughts and it really lets me put things into perspective. Being able to think freely is just a nice thing to be able to do especially in a world as hectic as it is now.

  2. Your profile picture is icky. Are you every worried about crashing when you're on your snowmobile?

  4. I've never worried about crashing because I have been lucky enough never to have to worry about it yet. I have almost gone off a cliff once and have almost gone of the trail but I've been riding my entire life and feel very comfortable on one. My brother, whom is 2 years younger than I am, has hit a tree and has also gone of the trail and got stuck in a ditch. I normally worry more about him getting injured doing something than I worry about myself.

  5. Hmmm...gone off a cliff. I can completely imagine you doing something like that. (I almost did that once when I collapsed while hiking Mt. Marcy a couple of years ago.)

Snowmobiling sounds wicked fun. My dad always tells me stories of when he used to go...including one time when he and his friends were being chased by the cops...(good times, good times?). I'll tell ya that one the next time I see you.

    Good philosophy on risk taking!
