Technology the ultimate enforcer

Well conveniently enough I've been out of town in the middle of nowhere without access to the internet let alone a computer so looks like I get to do like 3 posts... Technology is always a fun topic. I think I'm going to start with brakes and lights and how they can be used to save yourself. Going back to my whole snowmobiling experiences, I have realized that breaks and lights are two of your most useful pieces of technology. This brings me to an anecdote from two days ago. So my dad and I are out riding around in the Adirondacks and it was about 7:15 or so. Generally at night lights are your first warning that somebody else is coming down the trail or around a corner or something to that extent. And I realize most people who read this are thinking to themselves: "No crap lights are useful." This brings me to my second point which is how brakes are important little pieces of technology. So going around corners in a car you think to yourself: "Hmm I should slow down." Same thing applies with snowmobiles except the turns are sharper and you are on snow which is dependant on conditions and never constant. So when going around corners you want to slow down especially when you see lights coming around a corner. I guess some people don't understand that concept. So long story short, some guy hit my dad because he didn't know how to properly use his brakes or pay attention to the lights on snowmobiles. So I guess something as simple as this can really impact my life. And for those of you concerned about my dad, he is fine because he realized that he should slow down so it wasn't a very fast impact. Ok I guess I need to edit this because I'm in a mood to argue and smack down everybody and their conformist love for big corporations that are going to screw the world over. Yes I am an Ipod-hater. It isn't that I hate technology it's just that I hate everybody being so over-indulged to one specific brand of a common good. If somebody asked me what kind of mp3 player I had and I told them that it was a Zen they would look at me like this: o.O and ask what the hell it is. And that reminds me of something, IPODS ARE MP3 PLAYERS. I am sick of them being classified as separate entities. I am just fed up with everybody gawking over apple products because they are "cool". If every other company wanted to waste their money over-advertising their products then I highly doubt people would be flocking to ipods like they are now.
