The world the end of everything?

All of these posts have been extremely convenient because they are all fun little things I can rant about. Now the world has always been and always will be a pretty messed up place. That being said I really don't think that we are in any worse condition than we have been in before. Maybe us here in the States are feeling the recession and wondering when the war is going to be over but the rest of the world doesn't have to get dragged along. There is without a doubt a need for conflict in the world because it is human nature to desire some way to be better than somebody else. People settle this in different ways whether it be in sports or video games or school. Countries however have to do it a different way. Countries are based on economy and the people in the society and how powerful they are as a military force. Yes I realize that people disagree with me but I really don't care. So let me prove my point. Why hasn't communism worked? Doesn't communism look great on paper? Everybody is equal, there is no poverty, there is no class system. So why doesn't it work? Human nature forbids communism to work because humans have the desire to be better than others. I guess when I say that communism is kind of a neat idea people get the wrong idea and think that I am some neoterrorist or something who is trying to have the red scare reborn or something. It isn't that, it's just that on paper communism is a great idea but in practice it will never work. So I guess as far as my opinion on the world is concerned, I think we are better off than before because we can use technology as a world instead of a country but other than that we are exactly where we were before the United States even existed.
